Purdue reminds people who they are…this time in Champaign
Purdue narrowly avoided an upset at Illinois and swept Rutgers to remain unbeaten in conference play; after holding on to edge Iowa, they’ll face Wisconsin Saturday with a chance at their best Big Tenteen start in 38 years, when they went 6-0 and finished 10-3.

Purdue VB returned the favor at Illinois on Wednesday, dropping the Illini in five sets, then swept Iowa on Saturday to move to 5-1 in conference play and remain #6 in the AVCA poll. The Boilers will finish their road trip at Ohio State on Friday, then host Penn State Sunday in Holloway.

Illinois and Rutgers are real threats to win the Big Ten basketball regular season title and things are generally upside down.
Purdue struggled to score from everywhere, managing just 37 points in a road loss to Illinois. The Boilers fell to 2-2 in conference play and will travel to Ann Arbor next to face Michigan on Thursday.
Purdue started off strong, sweeping Northwestern and going up 1-0 on Illinois, but they couldn’t hold on, and without Blake Mohler, they dropped the last three sets, falling to 1-3 in Big Tenteen play. Up next: at Indiana, then the return match in Evanston against the Wildcats.
Volleyball edged Indiana in five sets again to sweep the season series. The Boilers face East Tennessee State in first-round NCAA action Friday afternoon in Lexington and would likely face 10-seed Kentucky on Saturday if they win.
