Who Is He?
Silverfield is the current head man at Memphis, where he’s been doing nothing but winning. He came to Memphis under Mike Norvell and the elevated to the head job when Norvell went to FSU. Silverfield has won 40 games in five full seasons at Memphis, including ten the past two seasons.
Why would he be successful at Purdue?
Offense is fun. His teams score a lot of points, his senior QB has thrown for almost 14,000 yards in college as well as 102 touchdowns. Mercy. He also currently has a 1200+ yard RB and did I mention he wins a lot?
Why could he flop at Purdue?
I don’t know, who the hell knows? He’s from Florida and may not like the cold?
Would he come to Purdue?
This is a tougher one. You’d have to think the draw of the Big Ten is significant, but being a guy from Florida, could he be holding out for an SEC job? Maybe even the ability to follow Norvell again? I imagine Bobinski could make this happen with the right committment but it’s not a slam dunk.
