Purdue women's basketball got off to a rough start at the Maine Tip Off Tournament last weekend, falling to the hosts and Villanova to start the season 0-2. The Boilers got double-figure scoring in both games from senior Ashley Morrissette and freshman Dominique Oden, and are back in West Lafayette for home games against SC Upstate and Southern Illinois this week.
Before the Villanova game, we all congregated over email to discuss expectations for the season. We'll try to do these from time to time to get a sense of how everyone's feeling about the season.
Purdue volleyball sent off lone senior Faye Adelaja in style Saturday for Senior Night, knocking off Iowa in four sets after being swept at MSU on Wednesday. The Boilers are 6-10 in conference play and 16-11 overall, heading to Indiana and Penn State this week as part of a season-ending road trip.

Will they be enough to improve on last season's sixth-place conference finish and NCAA first-round loss? Signs point to yes.
National Signing Day is here, and Purdue volleyball landed four Top-250 seniors: S/OH Hayley Bush, OH Caitlyn Newton, L/OH Jena Otec, and DS Julianna Reisinger.
Purdue volleyball posted yet another split in conference play last week, struggling to beat Maryland in four sets before pushing Wisconsin to five sets in Madison. The Boilers moved to 15-10 on the season, 5-9 in conference play, and will travel to MSU Wednesday before their Senior Night match against Iowa on Saturday.

Purdue volleyball continued their trend of splitting weekend matches, dropping #13 Michigan in four sets before losing to #15 Michigan State in four. The Boilers remain tied for 10th in conference play with Indiana, and they'll face Maryland Wednesday in Holloway before traveling to Wisconsin for a Saturday match.
