New Shooter, Comin’ Out! The Nevada Predicto

Each BS'er was given a 100 word limit on this week's game vs Nevada, but as much as they wanted to describe their perfect gameday snacking preferences. Surely, that's more interesting to our readers than breaking down this matchup. Also, the photo posted above was chosen purely for the value of showing what a kid from Brian Bosworth and Martina Navratilova would look like.

Handsome Hour #97: Same Old Purdue Football, plus Potential Hazell Successors

The Handsome Hour gets together to talk about what changed after Purdue's Cincinnati loss, Darrell Hazell's doomed future in West Lafayette, where Purdue football went wrong, and sort through a list of around 40 potential candidates for Purdue's next head coach. All that, plus revisiting the Danny Hope 2007 decision, weighing an older established candidate against a younger unproven candidate, and BoilerDowd's menagerie of coaching impressions.

Handsome Hour #96 - Football is Back!

It's football preview time, and J and Boilerdowd are here to make you happy. Or at least give you some perspective on the 2016 Boilermaker football season. Spoiler alert: they're a little concerned. Tune in to hear them give their predictions, lament how a Joe Tiller team would run roughshod over this schedule and discuss how much longer Darrell Hazell might actually have.

End of an Era – Morgan Burke Tenure Ends Today

Morgan Burke's tenure as athletic director ends as of the end of Wednesday, August 31. A loyal son of Purdue, Burke is being lauded as a model AD, a terrific leader and a wholesome man. We don't disagree that Morgan's heart was always in the right place, but how much of what he did was "impressive" and how much was basic maintenance?

Cradle of Hazellbacks

Darrell Hazell has named his fourth starter in his four years as head coach. I guess after all our complaining about Danny Hope being too loyal, this is what we get.

Handsome Hour #95: New Purdue AD Mike Bobinski Edition

Boilerdowd, J Money, and Aneesh react to new Purdue AD Bobinski's introduction, his specialty as a "basketball guy", what Boilermaker athletics needs to change to make football successful, and the alternative candidates. All that, plus Darrell Hazell's prospects, lights in the stadium, Boilerdowd's Chuck Pagano impression, and live-announcing Tuesday night's Olympic events.

Trustees get their guy: Mike Bobinski

Purdue probably listened to the groans of potentially hiring from inside the Athletic Department or from the Trustees...so good move there. They hired right in between - a safe-ish, uninspiring AD that wasn't as bad as some of the candidates and wasn't even close to many of the positive scenarios.
