2024 Purdue Football Coaching Search - Charles Huff
Who Is He?
Chuck Huff is the coach at Marshall and has been a hot name in coaching circles this season. His name has cropped up around Purdue more than a few times. Proximity wise, Marshall to Purdue, I guess, makes some sense. Huff has coached the Herd for four seasons, going 31-20 in that time.
Why would he be successful at Purdue?
Hard to say. He doesn’t have a huge body of work and he’s had two nice nine-win seasons but that’s about it.
Why could he flop at Purdue?
Inexperience. The concern about any coach who doesn’t have a ton to draw on is that they could look the way Walters did this season. Does he have a standout offensive philosophy that would succeed anywhere? Not to my knowledge. So, sure, I’d be a little concerned.
Would he come to Purdue?
I definitely think so. It seems like Huff is looking to take his next step.
