Purdue started off strong, sweeping Northwestern and going up 1-0 on Illinois, but they couldn’t hold on, and without Blake Mohler, they dropped the last three sets, falling to 1-3 in Big Tenteen play. Up next: at Indiana, then the return match in Evanston against the Wildcats.
Volleyball started off 0-2 in conference play, falling in straight sets to Wisconsin and Minnesota. They return to Holloway for matches against Northwestern and Illinois this weekend.
As expected, VB beat all three opponents to win the 2019 Stacey Clark Classic, but they lost senior MB Blake Mohler for an indefinite period of time to what appears to be an ankle injury. The Boilers begin conference play this weekend at Wisconsin and Minnesota.
