Purdue started off strong, sweeping Northwestern and going up 1-0 on Illinois, but they couldn’t hold on, and without Blake Mohler, they dropped the last three sets, falling to 1-3 in Big Tenteen play. Up next: at Indiana, then the return match in Evanston against the Wildcats.

Purdue beat two ranked teams away from Holloway, upending Louisville and Kentucky to move to 5-1 overall. They’ll be home for the Stacey Clark Classic this weekend.

A spectacular dig by Otec highlighted a 31-29 set in a 3-1 win over Ohio in the opener; Purdue swept Ball State but fell to Notre Dame in five sets. They travel to Nashville and Lexington to face Louisville, Lipscomb and Kentucky over the next week.
VB Outlasts Iowa On Senior Night
VB edged Iowa 3-2 on Senior Night to send off Sherridan Atkinson, Brooke Peters and Erin Williams with a win. The Boilers travel to Indiana and Illinois before finding out their NCAA destination Sunday at 8:30 PM on ESPNU.
