Purdue’s 3-game winning streak grinds to a halt in East Lansing
Purdue honored Tyler Trent by running away from Iowa, leading by as many as 26 en route to a comfortable 86-70 win Thursday in Mackey. The Boilers will face Michigan State on Tuesday at 9 PM in East Lansing.
Purdue’s basketball team needs a lot more intensity as they continue to grow into their roles and the football team just got a lot better.
Carsen Edwards led all scores with 30 points and Ryan Cline added 19 to lead the Boilers to a 95-67 rout of Ohio. Purdue will host Belmont Saturday, 12/29 at 4:30 PM.

Carsen Edwards tied his career high with 40 points, but the Boilers still came up short against Texas, 72-68. Purdue next faces Notre Dame in the Crossroads Classic in Indy.
Purdue earns an important win versus #23 Maryland
We’re on the bridge between football and basketball…AND we have an eye on the Brohm rumors, of course. Here are a few thoughts.
Ball State played Purdue even for 24 minutes, but a 19-2 run over the next five minutes put the game away as the Boilers held off the Cardinals, 84-75. Purdue heads to the Charleston Classic to face Appalachian State Thursday.
Purdue opened the 2018-19 season in style, blowing out Fairfield 90-57, as Carsen Edwards had 30 points in just 28 minutes to lead the Good Guys. Up next: Ball State on Saturday.
