Just in case anyone out there was looking for a coach who defines mediocrity (averaging 7-5 over the last ten years), Iowa has extended Coach Ferentz' extension out to 2015.

While not doing a bad job by any means, Ferentz nonetheless has always seemed to be a marginal coach to us. Yes, they've had some huge wins in his tenure and that's admirable. But, again, when you're averaging a 7-5 season, how big are those wins really?

$3 million is a lot anywhere, but in Iowa? Man, that guy can have any tractor he wants.
