Bloody Saturday
You've probably all heard that Curt Painter made the Colts roster, being the third QB on the Colts roster for the first time in a long time...Dungy didn't think a third was needed in the past 5-7 seasons with Manning's stability, but the perspective seems to have changed- maybe it's because of Manning's injury during pre-season last year, who knows. Regardless, Painter became pretty wealthy this weekened.
But, as Painter got the good news on Saturday afternoon, a bunch of his fellow Boilers lost their roster spots...some surprising, some not.
Surprises:
Stu Schweigert
Bernard Pollard
Predictable:
John Standeford
Kory Sheets
Eugene Bright
Ryan Baker
Charles Davis
Anthony Heygood
I'm always sad to see these guys dreams of playing professional football come to an end...many will still get paid to play football, either in Canada or on practice rosters...But I think many will go on to represent Purdue well in other fields...at least that is always my hope.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things.
