You win some...you lose some.
With classes beginning today, I was looking forward to see if ATM, Higgs and Beckford would all actually be in house as the second semester begun. Well, they're all enrolled...and with them comes a nice handful of talent to Purdue's football team. As they started class, running backs coach, Joel Thomas headed out of town to join Sarkisian @ UW. Thomas seemed kind enough to wait to leave until McBurse was a Boiler, but Wesley Tate, out of Tennessee was one of the recruits that Thomas still potentially might have helped come aboard (although he looked like he was leaning away from Purdue in the past month-or-so).
Thomas' departure leaves Hope looking for another coach as both the DC position and RB coach needs to be filled.
One of the players I was hoping might jump on board is now off the board as he's named his final two, and Purdue's not included. Sam Barrington has it down to Illinois and Miami. Quan Fletcher is still available...and it's always good to have people named Quan on your side when it's go time...also at the LB position, Jordan Barnes, who would be a steal and one of the top players in this class is still a possiblity.
Who's the next verbal, in your opinion?
Polling...
Purdue's basketball team drops to 19 in both polls.
