Southeast Missouri can't defend against the run and they showed this against Southern Illinois two weeks ago. If the line can get the blocks up front, expect Shavers and Bolden to lay some pipe on the little guys. With the return of the Gunslinger Marve and TerBush getting his swag up, we'll have two respectable throwers at the helm.

The most exciting possibility is letting Marve throw the money ball and let TerBush pick up some quick slants and easy throws to establish his name. This will give the defense a confusion factor not knowing to predict a run from the back, a pass, or for TerBush to crab walk off stage left into the endzone.

They are the team we need. So we will chase them, because they can take it, hard.

Purdue wins, 38 to 14.

My prediction? Two American university football squads will play a less than exciting match of American footyball.

The University of Purdue will win the match by scoring 9 wickets and 3 legs.

The Missouri University of the South East will lose after only scoring 2 bowlers.

NCAA 12 shows SEMO no respect.

Obviously I'm having a hard time getting up for this clash of the titans. Purdue should simply run the ball every single play. Don't kick field goals. Don't kick extra points. Just run. When you're done running, then run some more. Pretend the only play in the playbook is to run right up the middle. Time's running out? Doesn't matter. Run up the middle. I can literally think of no scenario when a run up the middle is not the right answer. That way Nord won't have to worry about being the QB coach and can focus solely on his OC duties. That's clearly what we want right? That's what is best for the program in the future.

Tim is, as usual, in his happy place, I see.

Well, this is the one true "gimme" on the schedule, which while it should be fun to know your team really has a likely win ahead, is actually sort of saddening because there used to be at least a small handful of gimmes on the schedule each year, even during the dark '90s days.

Is it possible Purdue could lose to SEMO? Sure it is. FCS schools have risen up and taken down FBS schools multiple times in recent weeks. And for those claiming that SEMO is actually not very good for the FCS, well, two things: 1) How much FCS football do you really watch? And 2) Purdue isn't a good FBS team so hey, who knows? Let's drink some FRS and dispense with the BS and get back to arguing over the BCS while we watch our FBS beat their FCS.

If Purdue loses, I would say that Danny Hope will need a police escort back to his car but, really, Coach Hope could probably handle the few fans that will actually be there. I would love to see Marve get in there and shred this school...because a quarterback at Purdue should be able to do just that.

However, my prediciton is that Purdue wins the game but doesn't do anything in the process to make us feel better about where things are heading.
