Purdue got a verbal from Jay Simpson, a 6'8" Power Forward from Illinois this weekend. Simpson is the third high school Soph to commit to Painter thus far.

I don't know a lot about him other than Painter liked him enough to offer him and Illinois fans seem a bit bothered that he wanted to come to Purdue- that's a good thing. A lot can and will change before Simpson, Davis and Molock come to campus in three years- one, or more Boilers will leave early (for one reason or another), so while three schollies is all this class has to give, I don't consider the recruiting completed for '12 just yet.

Oddly-enough, Purdue still has zero commitments for the class of '11...hopefully, Dawson will commit soon.
