Purdue Hands the B1G Title to Wisconsin in Person
Wisconsin swept Purdue this season, and in completing the sweep, earned an outright B1G title. Purdue fell in the polls this week after getting beaten by unranked MSU…and this was their bounce-back. Purdue played flat for about 25-30 minutes before waking up. Stop me if you’ve heard this: they shrunk the lead, took the lead, allowed the opponent to grab the lead back before losing on a last-second prayer of a shot.
The shot, or shots aren’t the story, the malaise that leads to the situation and not learning from their mistakes is the killer for me. Purdue loses 70-67, and falls to 24-6. IU will be in Mackey on Saturday for Senior/Ivey Day.
