Ivey's Second Half Propels Purdue to their 21st Win
Big game tonight in God’s Country…big players like these stages. Cockburn was ready, Edey was up for the challenge, but Purdue’s guards didn’t seem ready, at least at the beginning of the game. The second half, powered by Eric Hunter’s start, and Jaden Ivey’s finish was a different story. Purdue wins 84-68 and now stands at 21-3 with the final stretch of the conference season in front of them.
Jaden Ivey’s 22 second half points (26/6/4) along with 6 bigtime assists lead Purdue to their 21st win on the season. Illinois was on a four-game winning streak coming in, Purdue was on a five-game winning streak…Purdue leaves Mackey Arena still on a streak and tied atop the conference.
My apologies for coughing throughout the wrap-up. Good win for the Forces of Good. Next up, UM in Crisler.
