My son wasn’t born the last time Purdue beat Wisconsin, but that didn’t stop him from talking about loss earlier tonight in Madison.
Bell showed up big again- 108 yards on 12 receptions, Hopkins led all receivers with 127 yards & 2 TDs on 8 catches and Milton Wright had three catches for 74 yards and threw a TD as well…with a lil’ trickeration.
In the first half, Purdue’s offense found rhythm and Coach Brohm opened the playbook, but as the game wore on, Taylor (220 yards on 28 carries) and company were simply bigger and better.
O’Connell continued to improve as the QB Whisperers (Brohm & Brohm) had Purdue’s walk-on QB well-prepared for the hostile environs of Camp Randall. AOC finished 26/43 with 289 yards, 2 TDs and an ill-advised pass that led to an interception in the second half.
